Gavin Update...9 month check up

Gavin had his 9 month check up today. Yeah, he is almost 10 months old, but we kept having scheduling conflicts. He is 28 and half inches long (50th percentile), and 18 lbs. 1 oz (10th percentile.) He has met all of his milestones and is doing great (except for the fact that he doesn't sleep at night....) He pulls up by himself, and is beginning to get brave enough to let go...but only for a second before he realizes it and sits down! He has also completed his occupational therapy and will no longer need to see the OT! Yay! We don't have to get up EXTRA early on Thursdays anymore! We will miss her though, she is a very sweet lady! She brought me a bag full of baby girl clothes today, because she knows that I have a TON of boy stuff! Gavin is still not getting his immunizations because he is still on the steroids, and they are concerned that the immunizations won't be as effective while he is on them, but she said that if it looks like he will be on them much longer, she will go ahead and give them, he will just have to be tested to make sure they work properly. Sorry, I don't have any pictures to post, but I'm sure I'll get a pic or 2 of him at his Aunt Onnie's baby shower this weekend and I will post them!

Twin Update....23 weeks

Ok, I'll start with Baby A. This is the girl. We have named her. Kamryn Ruth Davis, but we will call her Kami. She was VERY cooperative at the ultrasound yesterday, so we got many good pics of her. We even got a few 3-D pictures of her! She weighs 1 pound 8 oz, and is growing GREAT!

Now, for Baby B, who is the boy, and remains nameless. He was VERY un-cooperative, so we only got 2 pics of him. Maybe he is a bit upset that his sister has a name and he doesn't! He weighs 1 pound 11 oz, and is growing great also. The doctor said he is 12% bigger than his sister, as long as it stays under a 20% size difference it's normal. But, it looks like he will be a bit bigger than her!

They also measured my cervix, which the doctor described as long and firm for a twin pregnancy, which is good news. That means there is only a very, very small chance that I would go into labor soon. So, I will go back in 4 weeks!

Moving on Up!

To standing up that is! I bought him this new toy to help him learn how to stand up and in about 3 days or so, he started PULLING up all by himself! He's been trying ever since I bought it, it took him a little while to learn to get on his knees first!

Little Swimmer

Since we couldn't spend mother's day with my mom, Chad, Gavin and I went to my father-in-law's house to go swimming with my sister-in-law and niece. I wasn't sure how Gavin was gonna like it, but he LOVED it! He splashed and splashed til we had to get him out. I thought he was getting a little red, but it turns out he was just getting darker. I think I'm gonna have me a little tan baby this summer! (He gets that from his daddy!)

Gavin Rides the Carousel!

Today, Andrea and I took Gavin for his 9 month pictures. (To be posted later, he did soo good!) While at the mall, I took him for a ride on the carousel, because he kept looking at it in amazement! And he LOVED it!
